What is the Louth Adult Education Guidance and Information Service (laegis)?

Laegis helps adults to make choices about the education and training
opportunities that may be open to them. The service is free and
confidential.

Who is this service for?

A one-to-one guidance service is available to adults taking part in, or thinking of taking part in, the Adult Learning Service, BTEI, Community Education and VTOS. Our guidance service is also available to clients of the Education Finance Board. An educational information service is open to all adults in County Louth by drop-in, phone or email.

What does this service offer?

Examples of supports offered include:

• One to one guidance in Drogheda and Dundalk.
• Information on local and national education and training.
• Advice and guidance on the impact of returning to education.
• Help with application forms and job search skills for the adult learner.
