What are Part-Time Night Classes?
These classes offer a range of hobby and career based courses in O'Fiaich Institute, Dundalk, Drogheda Institute of Further Education (DIFE), St Olivers Community College, Drogheda and Bush Post Primary School, Cooley. Courses usually run for 8, 10 and 12 weeks starting in both September and January of each year. They are competitively priced and costs can vary depending on the course. Partial refunds may be available to those on social welfare.
Who is this service for?
These classes are for anyone over 16 who would like to take an evening class, whether that is to upskill and improve their work prospects or simply to learn a new hobby.
What programmes does this service offer?
Examples of programmes available include:
- Professional and Further Education
These courses can offer FETAC Certification from levels 3 to 6, or alternatively certification by the relevant professional body. Examples include: Childcare; Computers (various levels); First Aid; Leaving Certificate; Payroll and Special Needs Assistant.
- Hobby and Leisure
A variety of hobby and leisure programmes are available. Examples include: Computers, Gadgets and Web Design; Dressmaking; Flower Arranging; Languages; Sign Language.
