Partnership is an active relationship between management and staff based on a shared interest to secure the competitiveness, viability and prosperity of the VEC.

The Purpose of Partnership in our VEC is to:

  • Ensure that the voice of everyone in the organisation is heard
  • Deliver excellence within the organisation for the benefit of our customers
  • Create a sense of ownership and pride within the organisation
  • Inform and consult our staff on matters of importance to them
  • Promote partnership through our Local Working Group which is made up of an equal number of management and employee representatives

Co-operation Hours

Co-operations hours facilitate a flexible approach to meeting the educational needs of adults which cannot be met by mainstream educational services. Under this scheme, County Louth Vocational Education Committee provides teaching hours / personnel to community training workshops, special needs schools, youth and health board services across the county. The Managers and Principals of each of the schools / centres work collaboratively with the management team of the Adult and Continuing Education sector to facilitate the educational progression of learners.

County Louth Vocational Education Committee currently provides teaching hours through the co-operation hours scheme to the follow centres / programmes:

County Louth Vocational Education Committee continuously seeks to develop and enhance existing partnerships and to forge new alliances with relevant agencies at local, community, national and international level that will best help meet and improve identified educational needs.
