Co. Louth VEC is responsible for the provision, management, and running of four second level schools within the county.

These Schools are as follows:

Bush Post Primary School

Bush CrestBush Post Primary School is a co-educational second level school, in Riverstown, Co. Louth. It is situated in a beautiful rural setting on the Cooley Peninsula approximately 5 kms from the historic village of Carlingford. The school was founded in the 1930's and for over 70 years it has provided excellent education for thousands of students. Bush Post Primary School is maintained by County Louth Vocational Education Committee.

Scoil Uí Mhuirí

Scoil Uí Mhuirí CrestScoil Uí Mhuirí, is a vibrant, dynamic Post Primary school situated in the heart of the growing community of Dunleer, Co. Louth. The school has grown and developed since its opening in 1954 when 55 pupils were enrolled. Today there is a student cohort of 465 and teaching staff of 37.

Drogheda Institute of Further Education

DIFE CrestDrogheda Institute of Further Education (DIFE) seeks to encourage the development of the whole person in the sphere of lifelong and lifewide learning, and to facilitate the attainment of excellence in the academic area. Our aim is to do the best we can for each student by respecting, challenging, encouraging and facilitating them.

The College aims to provide a variety of high quality FETAC and other further, continuing and professional education courses of either one or two years duration, in the catchment area. The College also aims to develop new courses and change existing ones as the need arises in order to widen the choice and provision for students in the further adult and continuing education sectors. The extension of the existing strong and necessary links with industry are a priority.
