Before submitting an application, please read the following carefully

  • In order to be eligible to apply for a Teaching Post with Co. Louth Vocational Education Committee you must be registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland. For new graduates registration and Garda Vetting will follow pending results of final exams. This procedure should have been outlined to you by your Third Level College/University.

  • Qualifications, salary scales and conditions of service are as per Department of Education and Science and Memorandum V.7.

  • Please apply only for positions that you are qualified to teach.

  • A separate application form must be used if applying for more than one post.

  • Completed applications will not be accepted by fax. Late applications will not be accepted.

  • The following documentation must accompany the Application Form.

  • A copy of your degree transcript

  • Teaching Council registration letter

  • Further information on Co. Louth VEC including details of our schools, centres and programmes and a copy of our Education Plan 2006-2010 can be found on the relevant section of our website.

  • Additional Sheets may be included if necessary.

  • Co. Louth VEC is registered as a Data Controller. When your application form is received, the Committee create a computer record in your name, which contains much of the personal information you have supplied. Should your name come under consideration for a post, a manual file will then be created. The personal records are used solely in processing your candidature.

  • Canvassing (directly or indirectly) will disqualify.

  • All staff are appointed to the Co. Louth Vocational Education Committee Scheme.

  • Cookery
  • Dance
  • Creative Writing
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Hair & Beauty

 

Please note the following:

  • All courses/programmes will take place in Co. Louth VEC Second Level Schools
  • It is envisaged courses/programmes would be delivered during both the Easter & Summer holiday periods 2012
  • All courses/programmes will be delivered on a hobby/leisure basis
  • Participant age range 7-17 (Divided into age appropriate groups)
